Adapting to your needs

Christine is highly skilled at adapting her therapy and communication style to help the client feel at ease. She is insightful and very approachable.

Christine is particularly passionate about assisting people whose stress, anxiety or depression is holding them back from their best life and achieving their goals.

Christine assists clients to identify long held narratives and beliefs that are not serving them well and may be affecting their behaviour, success and relationships with others. Negative narratives stem from many things including past trauma, poor self-esteem or unhealthy relationships. Christine supports her clients to uncover a positive alternative narrative that shines a light on their strengths and new possibilities. Evidence based Positive Psychology is used to support goals and emotional flourishing.

Christine uses many traditional evidence based therapeutic approaches but also enjoys exploring alternatives influenced by the client and their interests and beliefs. Modalities may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative or Art Therapy and Strengths Based, Solution Focused and Person-Centred approaches.

Christine spent many years providing Psycho-social Education to adults and adolescents with a focus on skills and strategies to protect mental health wellbeing and drug and alcohol harm minimisation for youth.
She now incorporates this knowledge to help her clients consider healthy choices and positive behaviours and enjoy emotional wellbeing.

Private Health Rebates may be available for members of some funds.

Christine will work with you to find the style of counselling support that is right for you to help you achieve your goals toward better mental health and a brighter life.
